Scripture Lesson: Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Some people choose to walk around carrying so much emotional baggage that you can almost see what they are carrying. All of the unfortunate events that occurred in their lives can be seen, claiming them as their own.
Before we can become what God has called us to become, we must heal through the pain of the past. Past and present struggles are incomparable to the glory which God has yet to reveal. God’s Word and God’s promises are still true!
We must not entertain people whose eyes are not on the prize of a higher calling. All of this starts in the mind, for the mind is the one place from which all things flow and all things are created. If your mind is not aligned with God’s plan and purpose, it is easy to become accustomed to current struggles and sufferings. God’s Love gives us hope to look forward to better days. God’s Promise guarantees us the tools to get there successfully.
Precious and Merciful God,
I seek your light in the midst of all of the darkness around me. Let your light shine in me so that all can see.
Purge me of all of the things in me that is not like you.
Clean and renew a right heart in me
In the name of your Jesus Amen.
