God’s Presence: Discovering Intimacy with God in your Daily Life
Lord, there are treasures that are indeed hidden – I know that you can help me to discover all of them. Help me to understand that I’m God’s treasure. I trust in you today to help me discover all. Whatever you want me to do, I will do them and all treasures will be mine in Jesus name. Amen.
Bible Verse for Today
“I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.” (Isaiah 45:3)
God has promised that he will give us all hidden treasures – he will make sure all the hidden treasures are exhumed from wherever they are hidden. This cannot be done if we don’t take steps to make this happen. The step we can take is to ask from God himself through Christ Jesus.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” That’s the first thing required of us to do – you can’t just sit down doing nothing and then be expecting treasure to come.
When you watch adventure movies, you’ll see that people trying to discover treasures are always on the move working. The archeologist discovering ancients hidden treasures didn’t do that sitting at one place, they worked.
We have the privilege to ask God for help so as to make the discovery easy for us. We have to pray – asking in prayer will make God open our minds and our eyes to some things in our life that we really don’t cherish, but yet they are treasures.
Another thing to know is that all treasures can only be found in Jesus. For us to get these treasures, we must enter into Jesus – we can’t stay outside the Treasure Island and think it would be easy to discover any treasure.
Let’s tell Jesus to unveil the treasures for us to see.
