Promises of God – Which ones are for me?

Is there a way to know which promises of God are for us today? With hundreds of promises in the Bible, how can we tell which are general promises for all of us and which promises are specific promises to a specific person?

Promises of God – What are some promises?

Here are some promises of God that relate to daily Christian living:

Matthew 11:28-29 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Philippians 4:19 – “And my God will fully supply your every need according to his glorious riches in the Messiah Jesus.”

Romans 10:9 – “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with the Messiah Jesus our Lord.”

1 Corinthians 10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you that is unusual for human beings. But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to endure it.”
